Privacy at queensgamers.com
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Queens Gamers handles when you play puzzles, use an account, or contact us. It applies to queensgamers.com and the services delivered through that domain.
Privacy at a glance
- You can play without creating an account.
- Board state and resumable progress are stored in your browser's localStorage.
- Anonymous gameplay records use a hashed browser identifier rather than the identifier in plain text.
- We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
- Google Analytics helps us understand site usage and improve the puzzle experience.
Information we handle
Browser storage
The site stores an anonymous browser identifier and unfinished puzzle state in localStorage. This lets the same browser resume a board and distinguish its progress from another browser. You can remove this local information through your browser's site-data controls. Clearing it may reset unfinished progress and create a new anonymous identifier on your next visit.
Anonymous gameplay data
When you use Daily or progress features, the browser sends its anonymous identifier to our application. The application hashes that identifier before storing the anonymous profile. We may store the puzzle played, board size, attempt and completion status, elapsed time, Daily progress, streak information, activity date, timezone, locale, and related timestamps. This information powers progress, Daily status, and streak features and helps us diagnose puzzle problems.
Account and sign-in data
If you use account features, we process the details needed to create and maintain the account and its authenticated session. Depending on the sign-in method, this can include an email address, display name, profile image, email-verification status, provider account ID, protected authentication records, session token, and session expiry. If you choose Google sign-in when available, Google provides the account details required for that sign-in; we do not receive your Google password.
Messages you send
The contact form collects the email address, reason, and message you submit. It can also attach the page route, anonymous profile reference, timezone, locale, submission status, and timestamps so we can answer the request or investigate a reported puzzle or technical issue.
Infrastructure information
Like most hosted websites, our infrastructure provider may process request information such as IP address, browser headers, requested URL, timing, and security signals to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and maintain operational logs. We do not use this infrastructure information to build advertising profiles.
Analytics data
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site. Google Analytics may process information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser details, referral source, interactions, session timing, and identifiers stored in analytics cookies. We use these reports to measure site performance and improve content, navigation, and puzzle features; we do not use them for targeted advertising.
How we use information
- Deliver puzzle boards, accounts, Daily progress, completion history, and streaks.
- Keep sessions secure and prevent duplicate or abusive requests.
- Respond to feedback, support messages, and puzzle issue reports.
- Debug errors, monitor reliability, and improve rules, difficulty labels, and usability.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations and protect the site and its users.
Cookies and localStorage
localStorage holds the anonymous identifier and local puzzle progress described above. If you sign in, essential authentication cookies are used to keep the session active and protect account requests. These technologies support requested site features. Google Analytics may also set analytics cookies, including cookies used to distinguish visitors and sessions. These technologies are not used here for third-party ad targeting.
Service providers and disclosure
Cloudflare provides hosting, Workers, D1 database storage, content delivery, security, and operational observability. Google provides Google Analytics and processes analytics information under its own privacy terms. Google also processes information under its own privacy terms if you choose Google sign-in. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or during a genuine reorganization of the service. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Retention and your choices
Local data remains in your browser until the browser removes it or you clear the site's storage. Server records are retained for as long as reasonably needed to provide the relevant feature, respond to a message, maintain security and backups, or meet legal obligations. We may delete or de-identify records when they are no longer needed.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of personal information associated with you. Send a request through our Contact Us page and include enough information for us to verify the request and locate the relevant account or submission. Clearing localStorage only removes browser data; it does not automatically delete records already stored on the server.
Security and international processing
We use access controls, protected authentication records, encrypted HTTPS connections, and managed infrastructure to reduce risk. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Because Cloudflare and sign-in providers operate internationally, information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live, subject to the provider's safeguards and applicable law.
Children's privacy
The site is a general-audience logic puzzle service and is not directed specifically to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children under 13 to create accounts or submit personal information without appropriate permission. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided personal information can contact us to request review and deletion.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the product, service providers, or legal requirements change. The date at the top will be updated when a revised policy is published. For privacy questions or requests, use the Contact Us page and choose the most relevant reason.
